The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has discovered 25 houses and arms and ammunition belonging to Sanusi Mohammed, an aide to former Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda.
An ICPC source said the anti-corruption agency has discovered over 25 houses, arms and other properties allegedly belonging to Sanusi Mohammed a personal assistant to former Governor Yuguda from 2007 to 2015.
An official of ICPC in Bauchi said the agency acted on a tip-off from a whistle-blower, by storming Sanusi’s New GRA residence in Bauchi on Friday and other residences within the metropolis on Saturday.
The source said over 20 houses with two and three-bedroom flats at different locations in the state capital were discovered.
He said four sophisticated guns with ammunition, five cars, 20 bales of brocade (Shadda), 25 wrist watches, undisclosed amount of cash in foreign currencies and naira notes and over 25 landed properties, among others, were also recovered.
Other discoveries include five exotic cars and 15 new brand air-conditioners allegedly donated by Government of Republic of China to Bauchi state government during Yuguda’s administration.
