The call was to offer condolences to the Emir whose mother died on Saturday, February 25, a statement by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said.
President Buhari condoled with the traditional ruler, urging him to take solace in the fact that Hajia Aminatu Mai Babban Daki lived a good life, devoted to serving Allah and humanity.
“Please be comforted. May Allah accept her soul,” the president told the revered Emir on phone.
The deceased was survived by nine children, and has since been buried according to Muslim rites.
The call is coming a day after the president called all his media aides including the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Adesina said the president specifically thanked him for holding out against mischief makers.
Another media aide of the president, Garba Shehu missed the president’s call but received an sms from him.
